What it is and where it fits.
The MoniMax 5300 was Hyosung’s high-capacity, high-volume ATM for retail sites that needed bank-grade capacity. Hyosung called it a low-cost, financial-institution-grade ATM, and every version shares the same core: a 15-inch screen and room for up to four 2,000-note cassettes, 8,000 notes in all.
The versions differ mainly in software. The 5300CE ran Windows CE 5.0 and the 5300XP ran Windows 7. The 5300SE, still on Hyosung’s retail page in 2021, moved to Windows CE 6.0 and was listed as weatherized. The MX5300, also on that 2021 page, added a touchscreen and a standard Level 1 safe with a seismic and heat alarm, on Windows 7 and ready for Windows 10.
A January 2026 dealer bulletin listed the MX5300 and MX5300S/SE as discontinued, with the Hero (MX5400) as the recommended successor. Dealers also list the older NH-5300CE among obsolete models.

- At 617 lbs, moving or replacing one takes planning.
- Compliance depends heavily on the version: the older CE 5.0 and Windows 7 builds are the hardest to keep current.
- Dealers list the NH-5300CE as obsolete; later versions may still be serviceable. Ask us about a specific unit.

What are the differences between the 5300CE, 5300XP, 5300SE and MX5300?
Mostly the software and safe. The CE ran Windows CE 5.0, the XP ran Windows 7, the SE ran Windows CE 6.0, and the MX5300 added a touchscreen and a standard Level 1 safe with a seismic and heat alarm. All have a 15-inch screen and up to four 2,000-note cassettes.
