What it is and where it fits.
The 8T (model MX8300T) is the walk-up, through-the-wall ATM in Hyosung’s Series 8. Hyosung offers it in three configurations: cash dispensing only, cash dispensing with a cash and check deposit module, or cash recycling with check deposits. Non-recycling units can be upgraded to recycling later.
Set up for recycling, it holds four recycling cassettes of 2,950 notes plus a 2,000-note deposit cassette and handles bundles of up to 100 notes per transaction. As a dispenser, it takes 3,000-note cassettes, four high as standard or five with the five-high safe. Customers use a 19-inch sunlight-viewable touchscreen, and staff service it from the rear with a 10.1-inch supervisor panel.
Hyosung says recycling means fewer cash-in-transit visits, because customer deposits replenish the machine. The 8T is designed for bank and credit union branches; Hyosung’s retail through-the-wall model is the Force T.
