What it is and where it fits.
The 9I is the island drive-up model in Hyosung’s Series 9. It stands on its own in a drive-up lane, is serviced from the front and weighs 2,396 lbs.
It has the same recycling module as the rest of Series 9: up to four large 3,440-note cassettes or eight small ones, plus a deposit cassette, and a check scanner for up to 30 checks per transaction. Its safe is rated CEN 3, where Hyosung lists CEN 1 for the 9D, 9L and 9T, and a heater extends the operating range down to 14°F.
Hyosung designs the 9I for bank and credit union branches. For a business that wants an ATM, a retail model or free placement is the practical choice.

9I or 8I?
Both are island drive-up recyclers. The 9I has the larger Series 9 recycling module, the transit cassette and a CEN 3 safe; the 8I can be bought as a dispenser and upgraded to recycling, and runs Windows 11.
What does a CEN safe rating mean?
CEN grades are European safe standards. Hyosung lists a CEN 3 safe for the 9I and CEN 1 for the other Series 9 models, while its retail ATMs are rated to UL 291. Confirm which rating your site needs before you buy.
