What it is and where it fits.
The 8LS (model MX8100QTN) is the compact lobby model in Hyosung’s Series 8, which Hyosung calls its “most flexible, bank grade ATM series.” Hyosung bills it as its “smallest footprint, full-function recycler” and says it has been a popular choice “especially where space is a premium.”
As a cash recycler, it accepts cash deposits and can pay those notes back out. It holds three recycling cassettes of 2,950 notes each, recycling up to three denominations, plus a 2,000-note deposit cassette and a check module that takes one check per transaction. It sits behind a UL 291 Level 1 safe and is serviced from the front.
Hyosung lists it as designed for branches and retail, and says its small footprint lets financial institutions offer full-function banking outside the traditional branch. It is aimed at banks and credit unions rather than store owners, so for a business that wants an ATM, a retail model is usually the practical choice.
