What it is and where it fits.
The Onyx-W is Genmega’s compact ATM for spots with no floor space to spare. It installs securely on a wall or sits on a countertop, measures about 26.8 inches wide, 19.7 inches tall and just 10.9 inches deep, and weighs roughly 126 lb with its dispenser.
It has a 10.1-inch widescreen with eight lighted touch function keys, a 2-inch receipt printer, an EMV chip reader and a PCI-certified encrypting PIN pad, and runs the same modules and software found in Genmega’s full-size machines. Cash sits in a 1,000-note removable cassette secured inside its own internal vault. For twice the cassette capacity in the same format, there is the Onyx-W 2K.

Before you choose it
- The single 1,000-note cassette is the only dispenser option, so a busy location runs through it faster than a multi-cassette floor model.
- Genmega’s specs describe an internal vault with electronic lock options rather than the UL 291 business-hours vault listed for its freestanding models, so the mounting surface and position matter.
- Wall mounting needs a suitable wall and proper anchoring; Genmega publishes a separate wall-mount installation guide with measurements.
- Only a 2-inch printer is listed, with no 3-inch graphics option.

How much does a Genmega Onyx-W cost?
Public dealer listings in 2026 typically put a new Onyx-W at roughly $2,800 to $3,200, depending on the dealer, programming and whether a processing agreement is included. Ask us for current pricing.
Does the Onyx-W go on a wall or a counter?
Either. Genmega designed it to be installed securely as a wall mount or on a countertop. At about 126 lb it needs a wall or counter that can take the weight, anchored properly.
Onyx-W or Onyx-W 2K?
They share the screen, keypad, printer and electronics. The 2K version takes a 2,000-note cassette instead of 1,000 notes, which makes it about 2.7 inches taller and about 155 lb. Choose the 2K if you want longer between cash loads.
