What it is and where it fits.
The 5T (model MX5800T) is the through-the-wall version of Hyosung’s bank-grade Series 5. Like the 5L, it sits in the range Hyosung lists as designed for bank branches, but Hyosung describes it as ideal for in-branch or off-premise deployments that need high availability, security and capacity.
It holds up to five cassettes of 3,000 notes each, uses a 19-inch IR touchscreen with a privacy filter, and sits behind a UL 291 Level 1 safe with a seismic and heat alarm. With the optional heater, Hyosung rates it from −24°F to 104°F, which matters on exterior walls in cold climates. It also supports bill payment and funds transfer.
Hyosung’s own website now redirects its old MX5600T page to the 5T, and a January 2026 dealer bulletin names the 5T as that model’s successor.
